Both water tanks are now fitted on the loco and bolted down around the base. A short visit to the paint shop has seen green paint applied which has certainly enhanced the appearance. A temporary arrangement has been devised and fitted to secure the chimney in place on the smokebox ready for the visit to the NEC for the Warley Model Railway exhibition as neither chimney nor smokebox can be properly bolted down until the boiler is finally in place.

The accompanying photo of the outer firebox shows a tap in use cutting threads for transverse stays.

Cab window frames are being machined.
