News Update - Barbara Massau

Dear Reader,

It is with much sadness that we have to announce the death of our former Trust Secretary, Barbara Massau. For many years Barbara was the glue that held the group together maintaining our records and managing the membership. In recent years ill health had forced her to take a back seat and we had begun the difficult transition to a new support team, but many of you will have missed Barbara and I know that she was well liked.

Barbara was taken ill last week and was admitted to Macclesfield Hospital and was initially responding well to treatment, however, her condition worsened and she passed away yesterday afternoon (16/08/23). She leaves behind our Engineering Leader Tony and their son Peter, and I find it difficult to say strongly enough how much I feel for their loss. I am sure that you would join me in wishing them both well at this most difficult time.

We will release a further communication when details are available regarding a service of remembrance. I would also ask that you bear with us in the next couple of months, as clearly this may affect some other communications, such as the Autumn Newsletter.
